What Is A Kin?
In my own definition, and in as simple terms as I can manage...Kinning a character means you relate to that character deeply on some level. It could be related to their personality, story, or it could be trauma related. It varies from person to person and kin to kin. This isn't to be mistaken with DID fictives - though there are cases where an alter within a system may have their own kins - we are aware the characters are FICTIONAL. They simply provide comfort, it's always nice to feel seen, and make it easier to connect with others!
